Mexico is a large employer, handling more than 26,000 students at its main campus in Albuquerque. The
University of New Mexico is also a dominant employer in the area - contributing millions to the local economy.
Kirtland Air Force Base is the area's largest employer with over 16,000 civilian workers. The presence of Sandia
National Laboratories in Albuquerque has brought researchers from around the world to conduct analysis on
